Betting Tips
Nigeria will be up against hosts Ivory Coast in the 2023 African Cup of Nations Final on Sunday.
This will be the ultimate game in the tournament but TopbetsKE picks the top five betting fixtures you can place your money on this day plus extra two tips for our readers.

Nigeria v Ivory Coast
Nigeria were the pre-tournament favourite and have the best squad in Africa on paper but they go up against a rejuvenated host nation in the form of the Ivory Coast who started the tournament poorly, sacked their manager, and have gone on to improve and got their fans back on side.
Nigeria weren’t as convincing in their semi-final game against South Africa as a lot of people expected but still did enough to reach the final. The game was tight and tense throughout with both teams looking dangerous going forward but it wasn’t until the sixty-seventh minute that Nigeria took the lead via a William Troost-Ekong penalty that went under the body of Rowen Williams in the South Africa goal.
Ivory Coast’s semi-final against Congo DR proved a little more simple than Nigeria’s but it was still a closely fought game. Congo DR started the better of the two clubs but by the end of the first half Ivory Coast would have missed a clear header and hit the post.
Sebastien Haller who wasn’t at his sharpest managed to score the only goal of the game in the sixty-fifth minute, when his mishit shot bounced over the Congo DR goalkeeper and into the top corner, it was the least the hosts deserved as they were the better side during the ninety minutes.
Team News
Ola Aina, Moses Simon and Calvin Bassey were all a booking away from missing the final, but none of that trio were cautioned against South Africa.
As for Ivory Coast, Haller is now back fit and firing, along with Brighton’s Simon Adingra. Serge Aurier, Odilon Kossounou and Oumar Diakite will all be back from suspension for the Elephants, meanwhile.
Probable Line Ups;
Nigeria XI: Nwabali (GK), Troost-Ekong, Ajayi, Aina, Osayi-Samuel, Bassey, Onyeka, Iwobi, Simon, Osimhen, Lookman
Ivory Coast XI: Ofana (GK), Boly, Konan, Ndicka, Singo, Gradel, Seri, Fofana, Kessié, Haller, Adingra

The two sides now have an identical head-to-head record following Nigeria’s narrow win in the group stage. Nigeria had previously lost four of their previous six meetings against Ivory Coast.

Draws: 10
