Multibet of the Day 28th August

1X2 Market

KuPS v Midtjylland

Tip: Midtjylland

Reason: The visitors have won five of their last six games and claimed a 4-0 win in the reverse leg of this tie. They are up against an opponent who has lost four of their last nine games in Europe.

Young Boys v Slovan

Tip: Young Boys Win

Reason: Young Boys won the first leg played in Slovakia and would love to finish the job in front of their home fans. The Boys have won four of their last five meetings against their Thursday night opponents.

Braga v Lincoln Red

Tip: Braga Win

Reason: Braga are clear favourites in this tie, having pumped four goals without answer against their opponents in the first leg. The visitors have lost by three goals or more in two of their last three European games.

Genk v Lech Poznan

Tip: Genk Win

Reason: The Belgian side has won their last two games while Poznan are without a victory in their last four games. Genk beat Lech 5-1 last week and would love to complete the job in this tie as they seek qualification for the group stage.

Over 2.5 Goals

Dynamo Kyiv v Maccabi Tel Aviv

Reason: The first leg of this tie ended with four goals and Kyiv have already scored 10 goals in three games in the Ukrainian Premier League this season while Kyiv have failed to keep a clean sheet in three consecutive European games.

FCSB v Aberdeen

Reason: Seven of the last nine games for the hosts have ended with this market, while Aberdeen have conceded at least two goals in four of their last five games.

Al Ahli v NEOM SC

Reason: The hosts are the favourites having won their last four games and allowed just three goals in the same period. The hosts have a knack for scoring a lot of goals, and they will fancy their chances against an opponent who has not won in their last four games.

Fredrikstad v Crystal Palace

Reason: The hosts have no option but to attack from the onset, as they are trailing from the first leg and this is an avenue Palace can use in finding spaces to attack on their own and get goals.

BTTS

CServette v Shakhtar Donetsk

Reason: The reverse leg ended with a 1-1 draw despite the Ukrainian side dominating play. The hosts have recorded this market in all four of their home games this season and in each of their last six at their backyard.

Linfield v Shelbourne

Reason: This will be the fourth time these two teams meet this summer, and both have scored in two of the previous three games, with Shelbourne scoring in all of the games.

AEK v Anderlecht

Reason: This market was recorded in the first leg of this tie, and with plenty of chances from both sides, we expect the same outing to be replicated on Thursday night.

Legia Warsaw v Hibernian

Reason: The visitors have scored in each of their last six matches and have only been denied a chance to score in one game. They come against a Legia side who have gone five games without a clean sheet.

Anytime GoalScorer

Legia Warsaw v Hibernian: Kieron Bowie

Reason: Bowie didn’t score in the first leg but had three shots in the game and scored the crucial goal for Hibs when they met Partizan in the second leg in the previous qualifying round.

Brondby v Strasbourg: Emmanuel Emegha

Reason: Emegha opened his account this season over the weekend, and having scored previously at Sturm Graz, he arrives here confident that he can make a difference.

Fredrikstad v Crystal Palace: Jean Mateta

Reason: The Frenchman remains Palace’s danger man despite not scoring in the Premier League yet. He scored the only goal in this reverse fixture and will again be depended on to deliver for the Premier League side as they eye a group stage in European competition.

Understanding Football Predictions

Football predictions are popular for all types of bettors. Whether you are a small-time punter or someone who bets with bigger stakes, it is important to understand how betting markets work. The last thing you want is to win a bet but then realise you placed the wager on an incorrect betting market.

Before placing any bets, you must understand the different football betting markets. Our team at Topbets have provided some FAQs on common questions that most bettors have. These questions cover all popular football betting prediction markets, such as 1×2 betting markets, BTTS, draw no bet, and correct score predictions.

What is 1×2 betting?

The 1×2 betting market is the easiest type of bet as there are only three possible outcomes. Either a home win (1), an away win (2), or a draw (x). Today’s soccer predictions (accumulator/multibet of the day) always include 1×2 betting tips.

What is BTTS betting?

Both teams to score (BTTS) are a favourite among bettors who love goals. This is a two-way betting market, where you predict whether or not both teams in a match will score. If two big teams are playing, who are both free-scoring, for example, Liverpool vs Arsenal, the BTTS – Yes market will be a popular soccer betting prediction for the game.

What is Over 2.5 goals?

Like the BTTS market, over 2.5 goals predicts the outcome of a game’s total number of goals. Generally, the odds on these markets are around 1.60, but if you want a safer betting option with lower odds, the over 1.5 goals market is popular. You can also bet on team totals; for example, if you think Arsenal will beat Chelsea 3-0, you can beat Arsenal to score over 2.5 goals. These odds are higher than the over 2.5 match goals since you need the Gunners to score 3 times.

What is Handicap betting?

Handicap betting is also known as spreads betting, so don’t get confused if some betting sites have different terminology. Handicap betting evens the playing field when a game has a short-priced favourite. The underdogs are given a head start with a virtual +1.5, +2.5, +3.5, etc lead. For example, if Man City were playing Ipswich at the Etihad, the 1×2 betting would be Man City at 1.15. The handicap line would be Man City -2.5 at 1.90.

This means that Ipswich are given a 2 goal head start, so for your bet on Man City -2.5 to win, the team must win by three goals. If the game ends 3-1 to City, you bet loses because Ipswich won the virtual handicap line 3 – 3.5 (1 goal scored plus the +2.5 handicap line).

What is Draw No Bet?

We mentioned 1×2 betting markets, and the draw no bet is similar, but it provides insurance on the draw option. If the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded. The odds on draw no bet markets are lower than the 1×2 betting markets.

How to bet on Corner Kicks?

Corner kicks are not a common betting market, but you will find these at several betting brands. You can place wagers on the total number of corners in a game and how many corners each team will take. Corner kicks betting is a two-way betting market, so you are betting on the overs or under line. You should study the style of play for teams, and generally, teams that attack from wide instead of through the middle of the pitch tend to get more corners.

What are Correct Score predictions?

The correct score predictions are always mentioned whenever you search for today’s football predictions. A correct score means predicting the correct final score in a game. This betting market requires careful consideration of various factors, such as team news, head-to-head results and the form of the teams. The betting odds on the correct score are always high, but these markets are more volatile than others, like the 1×2 betting markets and the BTTS markets.
