Ryan Ogam double stuns Gor Mahia
Tusker FC are still leading the table after their 2-1 win over Gor Mahia in the round.
Not so many had given coach Charles Okere a chance after he was handed the reigns of the team but he keeps on delivering thanks to striker Ryan Ogam who now has 15 goals in 17 games. The Harambee Stars striker had given the brewers a 2-0 lead but Austin Odhiambo halved the deficit midway through the second half for a tense finish but Tusker held on for the points.
Sofapaka resurgence continues
After parting ways with head coach Robert Matano earlier in the month, many had Sofapaka out but they registered a 2-1 win over Posta Rangers who are still adapting to the demands of new coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo.
The 2009 champions, after the win, are now placed 5th on the table, having flirted with relegation for the better part of last season where they were forced to go for the playoffs. What a turnaround it has been for the Elly Kalekwa team.
AFC Leopards beaten by Talanta
Leopards week wasn’t one of the best and everything smelt troubled from midweek when the players downed tools over non-payment.
The lack of proper preps saw coach Fred Ambani make wholesome changes in his bid to get the right players for the Talanta duty but he chose wrong; his team was handed a heavy 4-2 loss in what will remain as one of their worst performances this season.
