Jonas Hofmann is reportedly nursing thigh injury which he picked in Wednesday’s friendly and is likely to miss out, with Robin Gosens is with a calf injury and Benjamin Henrichs has patella tendon and are both doubtful.

Winger Yevhen Konoplyanka was not named in the Ukraine squad, meanwhile, with vice-captain Yarmolenko and Oleksandr Zubkov preferred in the attacking wide areas.

Oleksandr Zinchenko obviously features in central midfield to the best effect for his country though Pep Guardiola plays him as a left-back for his club Manchester City.
