Real Madrid will kick off their preseason preps with a tie against Serie A giants AC Milan in America on Monday morning.
While many feel that the Spanish side have taken long to kick off their preparations ahead of the new season, manager Carlo Ancelotti will be thrilled with the fact that he has snapped in some of his targets and will feel ready ahead of their league opener against Athletic Bilbao on August 12. They will be beginning life without Karim Benzema but the players at his disposal should give him the confidence as they seek to wrestle the title from rivals Barcelona.
Milan on the other end will kick off their league campaign on August 21 against Bologna and have already been involved in games. They have boosted their squad with the arrivals of Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, and Marco Sportiello, while there has only been one major departure at the first-team level, with Sandro Tonali completing a big-money switch to Newcastle United.

Apart from Dani Ceballos who has an injury, everyone should be ready to feature.
Milan boss Pioli omitted Fode Ballo-Toure, Mattia Caldara, Marko Lazetic, Divock Origi, and Ante Rebic from his 29-man squad for the tour with the players’ futures yet to be decided. Leao and Olivier Giroud are both present and should start in the final third of the field, while Loftus-Cheek and Pulisic will also be hoping to retain their spots in the starting side.
Pioli is also believed to be planning to use different XIs for each half of the match, with youngsters Chaka Toure and Jan-Carlo Simic also likely to be given opportunities to make their mark, but Ismael Bennacer remains on the sidelines with a long-term knee issue.
