Football Predictions
Manchester United will be taking on rivals Leeds United in a pre-season friendly game on Wednesday as they kick off their preparations ahead of the new season.
United who finished third last season to return to Champions League football is still trying to bolster their ranks after parting ways with the likes of David de Gea. While they have roped in midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea, Erik ten Hag continues to pursue other targets with the likes of Andre Onana likely to cross over to Old Trafford.
Leeds on the other hand will be participating in the Championship in the new season and wants to prepare better as they seek to bounce back immediately. After roping in manager Farke to their side, the Yorkshire club hopes that the lessons they’ll be picking in the preseason will be vital enough for their outing in the second tier of English football.
H2H/Stats
Manchester United has won four out of the last five matches with Leeds failing to taste a win in the last nine games.

Team News
Tom Heaton and Marcus Rashford are unavailable for the match due to injuries so Dean Henderson is expected to be between the sticks in this tie with De Gea gone and Onana yet to arrive. After recovering from injury last season, Lisandro Martinez would want to get fit with more games and should partner Raphael Varane at the heart of the United defence. A lot of the fringe players are expected to be given a chance to impress with this lot including Amad Diallo who had a sterling season at Sunderland last campaign.
Former Norwich City man Daniel Farke has taken over the helm at Leeds but their fans have been expressing their displeasure at the lack of transfer activity as they look to bounce back to the Premier League. The team has lost Diego Llorente who has extended his loan spell at AS Roma, Brendan Aaronson moving to Union Berlin and Robin Koch loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt. Stuart Dallas, Tyler Adams, and Luis Sinisterra are the players ruled out of the tie due to injuries.
Probable Line Ups
Man United XI: Henderson, Martinez, Lindelof, Mengi, Malacia, van den Beek, Hannibal, Garnacho, Elanga, Pellistri, Diallo.
Leeds XI: Klaesson, Cresswell, Cooper, Hjelde, Struijk, Roca, Shackelton, Greenwood, Harrison, Rutter, Bamford.
Verdict
Man United v Leeds is always a charged affair no matter which competition they are in and this shouldn’t be different. United however has always run over their cross-town rivals and with a chunk of young and fringe players ready to impress, this is a game they should win.
