Arsenal vs. Dundalk Match preview

Arsenal will be playing tactically knowing on Sunday they have a tough game with their rivals Manchester United in Premier League clash, as they host Dundalk at Emirates Stadium in their second Europa League group match, Gunners will face Irish opposition for the first time in UEFA competition.

Arsenals were shaky at the start to their Europa League campaign as they had to come from behind to claim a 2-1 win against Rapid Vienna last week.

The Gunners are expected to enjoy a comfortable win against the League of Ireland champions.

Team news

Willian is still sidelined after failing to recover in time to face Leicester weekend and the Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is likely not to risk the former Chelsea man.

David Luiz remains doubtful for the home clash after he came off against Leicester with a hamstring concern.

Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers are back, the duo could be available for selection this Thursday.

Dundalk boss Filippo Giovagnoli knows this is one of the biggest matches for his side and the history of the club, and he is supposed to throw in the best XI possible.

Andy Boyle will stand in for Brian Gartland at centre-back for the away side..

Sean Murray and John Mountney campaigned to take a spot for the start of this game for combined effort on Dundalk’s goal against Molde last time out in Europa.

Arsenal vs. Dundalk Prediction

Arsenal confidence and propel under Mikel Arteta in building up but at low pace. The Gunners had to get back to armory for more sophisticated and powerful guns to comeback and defeat Rapid Wien last Thursday before defeat against Leicester at home on Sunday.

Dundalk should really rest only when it is a throw or goal-kick for every second of this match. The visitors are likely to pack behind and Arsenal will need to be more creative than they did in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Leicester.

Despite Arsenal not yet realizing themselves at the moment but it would be a great shock if they wouldn’t beat Dundalk quite comfortably on Thursday. Dundalk is seen as underdogs, for the Gunners have better and loaded guns than those of their Irish counterparts and anything other than a routine win would be a surprise.
