Football Prediction
Everton, Leicester City, and Leeds United might be relegated from the Premier League on the final day of the season.
With Southampton already confirming their participation in the Championship next season, the onus is now among the three to try and salvage their Premier League status for another season. Everton hosts AFC Bournemouth at Goodison Park, Leeds hosts Tottenham Hotspur at Ellan Road with Leicester host West Ham at the King Power Stadium.
Everton has their work cut out as they will only need to match Leeds and Leicester City’s results to stay afloat but the latter two have to win their games and hope that Everton falter if they are to stand a chance.
H2H/Stats
Everton has a very bad record against Bournemouth having lost their last four encounters with their last win against the Cherries coming in January 2019. The same can be said of Leeds versus Tottenham as the hosts have lost their last three games against Spurs with Leicester hoping that they can replicate the result in their reverse fixtures against West Ham where they emerged 2-0 winners.
Both Leicester and Leeds are yet to win any game in their last five games; Leeds having lost 3 to Leicester 2 in that period; Everton won one, drawing and losing two in the remaining four games.
Team News
Everton v Bournemouth
Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nathan Patterson are struggling with hamstring injuries in a major blow for Dyche, who has been without Seamus Coleman, Vitalii Mykolenko, and Ben Godfrey of late but they come against a Bournemouth side who have nothing to fight for anymore this season after securing their top-flight status. The visitors are set to only miss Marcus Tavernier for the tie.
Leeds v Tottenham
Rodrigo and Patrick Bamford are both doubts for Leeds after picking up injuries in the defeat to West Ham, leaving Allardyce incredibly short up front. Wilfried Gnonto could start as a result and Brenden Aaronson is pushing for greater involvement, but Luis Sinisterra and Tyler Adams remain out.
Spurs might maintain the team that did duty in their last outing but Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg are both pushing for starts with Lucas Moura set to make his final appearance for the club before leaving in the summer.
Leicester City v West Ham
Jonny Evans is a major worry for the Foxes after picking up an injury during the loss to Newcastle earlier this week. James Justin, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Ryan Bertrand are all out injured. Wilfried Ndidi’s hamstring problem isn’t as serious as earlier thought and should be available for selection.
West Ham on the other hand has no major injury worries with Gianluca Scamacca set to be the only absentee.
