Southampton vs Manchester United
Manchester United picked their first ever win of the current campaign and it came against rivals Liverpool. United were the underdogs on Monday Night but Jadon Sancho gave his side the lead in the first half with a cool finish before Marcus Rashford added the second.
Mo Salah reduced the deficit and it appeared as if Liverpool were on the verge of registering a comeback but his strike ended up as a consolation goal.
Soton secured their first ever win against Leicester City over the weekend, having lost their opening fixture to Tottenham before a 2-2 draw against Leeds United.
Last season, United and Southampton settled for a 1-1 draw in both leg but previously, the Red Devils had smashed Soton 9-0 in the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag’s men are now full of confidence from their recent win and we expect them to secure the second consecutive victory.
Prediction > Manchester United win / BTTS
Liverpool vs AFC Bournemouth
Two draws and a defeat in the first three opening fixtures are results that were never expected from Liverpool. The departure of Sadio Mane seems to be a huge blow to Liverpool who don’t seem threatening enough when on attack.
AFC Bournemouth’s good start was halted by Manchester City and Arsenal as they lost with a 4-0 and 3-0 scoreline respectively. You can call it an unfair fixture for the newly promoted side who have been scheduled to meet three top teams in the league.
Bournemouth have failed to beat Liverpool in their last ten matches in all competitions, losing nine while forcing a single draw in the process.
Prediction > Liverpool win
Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
Close to a loss but City came from two goals down to force a 3-3 draw with resilient Newcastle United. City dropped points over the weekend and will be targeting to return to winning ways when they host Crystal Palace over the weekend in their third match of the domestic league.
Palace lost their opening match to Arsenal before forcing a draw with Liverpool and finally got their first victory against Aston Villa.
Last season, City failed to beat Palace in all the two encounters, losing the first leg before a barren draw was registered in the reverse fixture.
Pep Guardiola’s men will do all they can to get back to winning ways and we expect them to claim maximum points at home.
Prediction > Manchester City win
Arsenal vs Fulham
Mikel Arteta’s men remain the only side with a 100% record start to the current Premier League campaign as they have registered three wins from the opening matches. Arsenal continued with their fine form on Saturday as they thrashed Leicester City 4-2 to go top of the table.
Newly-promoted side Fulham forced a 2-2 draw with Liverpool before a barren draw against Wolves. The north London side then picked their first win of the season against Brentford following a 3-2 victory.
The Gunners are fully determined and we expect them to blow Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday.
Prediction > Arsenal win
