Betting Tips
Premier League leaders Arsenal return to action on Saturday as they play hosts to Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.
TopbetsKE picks the top five betting fixtures you can place your money on plus extra two tips for our readers.
West Ham United vs Chelsea
Chelsea face a trip to West Ham on Saturday in the London derby Premier League early kick off encounter. The Blues remain winless in their last two Premier League matches against Liverpool and Fulham, matches that ended with a barren draw.
West Ham will be keen to build from their 1-1 draw against Newcastle United over the weekend. The Hammers will continue to miss the services of Maxwel Cornet and Kurt Zouma who are on the sidelines with injuries.
Alphonse Areola picked up a hamstring injury in training, which ruled him out of the Newcastle game and likely sees him miss this game too.
The Blues are also without a number of first team players for this match, owing to injuries.
Mateo Kovacic could make a return for this game, though Denis Zakaria likely remains a doubt.
Joao Felix, who is on loan from Atletico Madrid is once available for selection having served his three-match suspension after his straight red card against Fulham.
Graham Potter’s men have only won once in their last six matches in the Premier League, drawing the last two back-to-back 0-0. They have failed to win a league match away from home since mid-October.
The Hammers haven’t done so well in the Premier League one win in their last nine domestic league games.
This will be a close call and we are backing West Ham to secure maximum points with a narrow victory over Chelsea.
Tip: West Ham United 2-1 Chelsea / Over 2.5
Arsenal vs Brentford
The Gunners dropped three crucial points last Saturday as they suffered a 1-0 loss to Everton thanks to James Tarkowski’s strike. The defeat marked the second consecutive loss for the north London side as they bowed out of the FA Cup with Manchester City beating 1-0.
Arsenal are still at the top of the table with 50 points, five above defending champions City who missed out on a chance to close the gap to two as they lost 1-0 to Tottenham on Sunday.
Brentford have been one of the in-form sides in 2023 in the Premier League, with the last time they tasted defeat in the league being a 4-0 loss to Aston Villa, near the end of October. Since then they have picked up 19 points out of a possible 27, though out of their ten away league games since the start of the season, they have only won two of them.
The Bees are undefeated in their last 9 Premier League matches, keeping a single clean sheet in their most recent three.
Arsenal will be desperate to get back to winning ways with a defeat giving them too much pressure in their title charge. Mikel Arteta will have his side believing once again and we are backing them to continue with their good form at the Emirates Stadium.
Tip Arsenal 3-1 Brentford / Over 2.5
