Italy Vs. Spain match preview
Another most anticipated showdown in Euro 2020 is scheduled to be played on Tuesday night at Wembley Stadium between two soccer giants; Italy taking on Spain in the first-ever Semi-finals of the campaign.
Azzurri have never struggled since the start of the campaign, kicked off with a 3-0 win against Turkey. The journey didn’t end there they went ahead and thrashed Switzerland 3-0 in the third match getting a narrow 1-0 win against ten-man Wales.
Italy cruised through to the semi-finals after a 2-1 victory against the favorite of the pre-tournament Belgium. The goals in the first half from Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne in the 31st and 44th minute were enough for Robert Mancini’s side. The Red Devils got a consolation goal from their lethal striker Romelu Lukaku.
La Fora, on the other hand, started their campaign at a low rate after registering draws in the first two matches against Sweden and Poland; 0-0 and 1-1 respectively.
Spain seemed to get another working plan in the third match after thrashing Slovakia 5-0. In the last two matches, Spain survived through extra-time, qualifying to quarter-finals after beating Croatia 5-3. Yet again they have cruised through to the semi-finals on penalty kicks after they were held 1-1 draw in regular time only to emerge winners with 3-1 through penalties.
