Home » 01/11/2020 Daily Predictions: EPL, Manchester United Vs. Arsenal

Manchester United welcome rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford this Sunday in a Premier League encounter with the two teams sitting at the bottom half of the league standings. The Red Devils are back to Premier League duty after an impressive and brilliant Champion League victory over RB Leipzig in the midweek, and now is another big one with Gunners.

The Gunners are third on the log after three defeats in six outings, while United are only in 15th place after claiming seven points from their opening five matches.

Manchester United are having difficult fixtures ahead of them, earlier they were outclassed on every level by Tottenham Hotspur before the October international break and this calls for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to fight for his position at Old Trafford.

Since the appointment of Mikel Arteta as Gunners’ manager last year, the Spaniard has led the club to the FA Cup at the end of 2019/20. As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, they’re looking to challenge at the top end of the table this term, so the three points on offer this Sunday will be hotly contested.

Coach Arteta is hoping for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to showcase the same kind of firepower in front of goal, especially with him having been rewarded for his previous form with a new deal.

Man United vs Arsenal Team news

Anthony Martial is expected to be available for selection after he completed a three game ban. Alex Telles tested positive for COVID-19 and will not feature once again for a third game for Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, and Marcus Rashford are expected to return to the starting XI after cameo performances against RB Leipzig in midweek.

Despite an impressive play on Wednesday, Donny van de Beek could start from the bench during the clash against Arsenal. Paul Pogba may warm bench him unless Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sticks with a formation that favors his positioning.

Edinson Cavani is still waiting for his full debut for the club and could lead alongside Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford on Sunday.

As United’s quickest centre-back, Tuanzebe is an option in defence over Victor Lindelof if Solskjaer is concerned by Arsenal’s speed in attack.

David Luiz is doubtful to face Manchester United this weekend as per Arsenal’s boss Mikel Arteta. Willian and Dani Ceballos have both recovered from injury for the Gunners. The latter will more than likely go straight into the starting XI on Sunday, while Nicolas Pepe will hope to keep Willian out of the side after his impressive display on Thursday.

Manchester United vs. Arsenal Prediction

With the same statistics as neighbors, United seem to perform in Europe but seemingly become a completely different side during the Premier League. Ole seems constantly changing the formation and this forces him to make changes to the starting XI, and this could have a part to play in their poor produced results. Arsenal, on the other hand, has had a slightly better start, winning three and losing three, and find themselves in 11th place. If United continue to keep their impressive play as they did against RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening, then they will have no problem grabbing the three points against Arsenal side.
